Gore setting
101
Inserting gores into flat fabric Painlessly!
Have you ever been intimidated by
the thought of putting a gore into the center of your tunic? Have you wondered how to put gores into
the shoulders of your hood to make it fit better?
This is the class for you!
Bring a 12" x 24" piece
of cloth (linen or cotton preferred, but a thin, smooth wool will also work)
and whatever sewing equipment that you can (scissors, thread, needle, pins,
thimble, something to mark with (pencil, chalk, wax, soap etc)) to an hour long
class on gore installation. If you don't have fabric and equipment,
let me know so that I can bring things to share.
Written instructions will be
available to go along with the class (50 cents)
Hood patterns will be available to
purchase ($2 each) if you would like a small project to work on that
incorporates gore insertion. I have 3 sizes, childrens, adult medium (fits Helen), and adult Large (fits
Ansfrid).
¯Class limit 5 to 8 people
